Free Family Membership: 

Check with your field Human Resources Team to get details as well as the paperwork needed to apply for your household.

For purposes of complimentary use  of  facilities,  family  is  defined  as  two  (2)  adults (one  being  the employee) and  their minor  dependents,  17  years  and  younger, living  in the  same household.

Work Flexibility:  

Talk with your supervisor and keep them in the know with your scheduling needs.

The most formative time in a child’s development occurs within the first five years, which is why we put so much careful planning into our preschools and ensure our staff has a tremendous amount of experience, skill, and knowledge within the child care field.

While each child is unique and develops at his or her own rate, we also believe that they are strong, capable learners who learn best through social and environmental interactions. That’s why our specialized preschool programs provide opportunities for young children to learn through play, both individually and in large (or small) groups, stimulating each child’s development in a natural, home-like setting.

Our hope is that our preschools will feel like home to you and your children, filled with nurturing love and care.

Benefits:
At YMCA of San Diego County, we offer a range of options to fit your lifestyle. Holidays:
The following paid holidays will be observed:

Paid Time Off (PTO):
A combination of paid sick, vacation, personal days and other time off is available to 40 hour full-time employees to help you maintain a flexible work-life balance.

Sick Time:
Can be used to attend routine doctor appointments or to address personal and family members health needs, amongst other potential reasons.
12 sick days are provided to you on an annual basis
Sick leave may be carried forward from year to year
A maximum balance of 39days is permitted

Vacation Time:
Is available for employees after completing 90 days of service and accrues as follows: Service

  • 0-1 year:  9 days/year after completing 90 days of service
  • 1 year 1 day – 3 years: 10 days/year
  • 3 years 1 day – 5 years: 15 days/year
  • 5 years 1 day: 23 days/year

Vacation time accrues on a per pay-period basis up to a maximum of 276 hours.

Personal Days:
Are provided in addition to the designated paid holidays each calendar year. Eligible employees are provided 2 personal days per calendar year. Personal days accrue on a per-pay-period basis up to 3 personal days

Bereavement Leave:
Is provided in the following amounts 3paid days for the loss of an immediate family member 5paid days if out-of-state travel is required.

Jury/Witness Duty:
Paid leave is provided for up to 10 ten days.

Paid Time off for Part-Time employees:

Part-time employees accrue sick leave benefits at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every thirty (30) hours worked.
