YOUR ONE-STOP-SHOP FOR MARKETING

A great program, event or activity is nothing if no one knows about it. Your marketing team is here to help you get the word out! Sometimes, factors beyond our control dictate the level of resources dedicated to a project. We’ve come up with some basic packages, meant to be a starting point, for telling us about your project, who you want to know about it, and how much time and money you can put behind the promotion of it.

PLANNING MAKES PERFECT

Not all of the time, but it surely helps. Get things rolling in the marketing department by filling out one of the form options below.

The Quick ‘n’ Easy is for the simple stuff. You need an edit to an existing asset, have a document to upload to the website, need a website alert or page edit. We’ve got this! Expect a response with a timeline in a day.

Choose The Standard if your project is new or is an existing program/campaign that is heading into prime time for promotion or is part of an association-wide push. We’ll help you get the word out using our typical channels.

You are in a tremendous hurry, either because something just came up or we need to accommodate a high-priority need. We’ll work with you to sort out the best options to get the word out using channels that make sense.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS

If your project or request doesn’t fit into one of the package buckets above, we recommend you start by contacting Diana Remer, our association project manager. She’ll set up a marketing consultation with you to gather details, timelines and put a plan together. Examples:

  • Special project (member Y story, video request, facility signs or displays)
  • Special event or new program (gala, facility remodel/upgrade)
  • Large or extended campaign involving multiple communication/promotional channels and/or budget for additional tactics, e.g., grand opening, community partnership

REACH MediaYou know those li’l black boxes that are stuck to the backs of your branch TVs — the ones that are either impossible to “reach” or are about to fall onto the floor? Those REACH Media boxes run our digital signage, and while they can be a bit temperamental, boy, do they look great, with beautiful (thanks to our designers), eye-catching, highly visible slides that are an efficient way to show members what’s what at the branch. We have plans to do more with these; stay tuned. Questions? Contact Alie Anderson, [email protected].
PeachJarWe use PeachJar to get flyers out to area schools. BRANDING AND MESSAGING GUIDES

You’ll find a ton of documentation, samples, templates, etc. on the Y of the USA Brand Resource Center. We’ve pulled a few for you here:

BRAND MESSAGING GUIDE

The messaging guide explains what we say (brand strategy and messaging), how we say it (personality) and to whom (audience mapping) to drive awareness, interest, engagement and action.

BRAND QUICK GUIDE

Inspiration for all Y staff to steward and strengthen the Y brand. Our brand is a guide for how we think, act and communicate. So everything we do impacts our brand.

SOCIAL MEDIA PLAYBOOK

This playbook is the result of many months of research and feedback gathering that Y-USA conducted with an independent consultant.
